Flower-Arranging Fun at Etive House Care Home

Some of our residents who are fond of flowers recently took part in a group flower-arranging session followed by a well-deserved cup of tea. It was a great way to say goodbye to the colder, dull weather and has got everyone in the mood for Spring and seeing the flowers naturally come into bloom.

With a selection of daffodils, daisies, and gypsophila, residents at our care home in Oban made wonderful displays that brightened up the home and that they were quite rightly very proud of.

Flower-arranging is a brilliant craft that offers residents the chance to be creative as well as supports them with hand-eye coordination, engages their minds, and is a great stress reliever.

The activity is also best enjoyed in the company of others, and it was fantastic for our residents to spend this time together, talking about their favourite flowers and supporting each other with their flower-arranging.

It was delightful to see the individual and lovely bouquets that each resident created, which are now lovingly being displayed throughout our care home in Oban.
